With three Kassam attacks against Ashkelon in recent days from Gaza, Israel threatened to turn of Gaza's electricity for two hours - but then realized that the hospital there has no generators.
So if you keep doing that we'll just bluster and blow and tell you were are going to do something but then take it back.
HERE THIS. ROCKET ATTACKS ARE AN OUT OF WAR. If the gazans ill and injured die because their leaders aren't willing to stop attacking Israel, IT IS THEIR LEADERS FAULT!!!
Turn off the electricity and tell the world if they don't like it YELL AT THE PA.
Not us.
But you forgot the best part--in the end, we did take action. Rolling blackouts in Israeli cities, including Jerusalem! Who says we're all talk, huh?
Posted by: Mozemen at December 21, 2005 03:30 PMOh, yeah, now I get it.
Well that is sure telling those terrorist.
Kind of like the princes of yore suffering because their playmate got whipped on their behalf.
They care more for the enemy than they care for Jews.
Posted by: muse at December 22, 2005 04:42 AMUm...since the P.A. is blathering on and on ad naseum about their need for autonomy, give it to them...let them generate their own electricity.
Too bad about those folks in the hospital, but hey, they live in an autonomous state, Israel shouldn't be expected to provide basic services, thats up to the PA now.
The Muslim extremists have touted a 7th century way of thinking, let them suffer the consequences of living in the style of that era.
Next time there is a rocket attack, reply in kind, with double the force. Rinse, lather; repeat as needed.
Posted by: delftaman3 at December 27, 2005 08:00 AMThat's my feeling. Or let the world buy them a generator or whatever. My dh disagrees witih me and feels we shouldn't turnn off their electricity. I think if we threaten it and mean it, they might actually stop bombing us so we won't ever has to resort to that recourse.
I also think that if they want jobs they should generate the jobs themselves; Israel has its own poor...but somehow we have that burden as well...
