Haveil Havalim is the brainchild of Soccer Dad. a new Carnival, for Jewish or Israeli blogs (and as Soccer Dad says, you don't have to be Jewish to enter; but the subject of the blog should reflect a Jewish or Israeli theme.). One of my posts is up as well as some excellent posts on a wide range of issues. It is worth the read; my own post is quite paltry compared to the other posts up for viewing.
Posted by Rachel Ann at December 20, 2004 07:35 AMDon't be so modest. It's a slice of life in Israel. Last week our almost 14 yo daughter told us that she would not want to make Aliyah. That effectively puts our plans on hold - not that we were about to pick up tomorrow. Someone advised us not making Aliyah if an older child is dead set against it. (She's the only one of our children who has any sense of Hebrew. The Bais Yaakov here is very good in that regard. The boys' school is atrocious in teaching Hebrew.)
