I'm not sure I trust that any account printed in "Frontpage" is truthful. If he has such hard-core evidence - if there is, for example, a authenticated tape recording of a conference at Berkeley in which attendees chant "kill the jews" - why can't he get it printed in a real magazine or newspaper?

I frankly don't believe that the editors of Frontpage meaningfully factcheck a story like this or care if the reporter was reporting honestly or fairly. I'd have a lot more confidence in this report if it appeared in a mainstream newspaper, or even in "Weekly Standard."

Reports such as these are regularly printed in other media sources. Perhaps the real question is why the main stream media does not more accurately report the agenda of the hard left, the neo-Stalinist groups, the Jew-haters (let's call them what they are)? The question, why has it become fashionable, again, to hate the Jews. Perhaps, Ampersand, that question may deserve more attention than your distaste for the messenger.

This isn't a "put up or shut up" comment Amp, and I want to say that from the outset that the statement that follows is a serious one.

You distrust the Frontpage; I do not. But nothing I can say or do is likely to bring you to trust this particular source. My suggestion is that maybe you find out for yourself. Go, disguised, or send someone that you trust similarly disguised, to these conventions/meetings, and bring back the results.

Obviously absence of confirmation means quite a bit less than confirmation---that is always the way. They may take a different approach in light of the Frontpages actions--- meetings becoming more secretive, only those who are thoroughly vetted allowed to pass to the inner circles, etc. etc. But
it could also be you will find confirm what has occured according to the Frontpage, or find out something that distresses you even more.

Anyway, that is my idea. Please, if you take me up on it, lmk what happens either way.
