WIth reluctance, because I am not certain as to the worth of my vote in terms of stopping an evil I think could very well happen again (more pullouts) but there it is.
My first time voting in Israel and all the way till I put the letter in the box I wasn't certain.....
Posted by Rachel Ann at March 28, 2006 08:09 PM | TrackBackYou know, Rachel Ann, I feel the same way every time I vote. Sometimes I have to almost swallow the bile because I know the person I'm voting for isn't much better than the other choices. You gotta vote though, I mean, if you don't you're letting someone else make your choices for you, that's what I believe.
Posted by: Oorgo at March 28, 2006 10:59 PMI was that exact same way with the presidential election we had in the US in 2004. It's hard when you're not happy with anyone. :(
Posted by: esther at March 30, 2006 04:47 AMSo understood! It has been our experience for years here to just vote for the lesser of 2 evils...certainly NOT the way we wish we could vote. Being politically active, as we once were, also won't yield any results we found. It is totally in the hand of G-D...but we must exercise the limited amount of freedom we have...even if it does not FIX things!
