There went the camera

*groan*.
Camera fell and went to h*)). Lovely right?
It will be at least several months before we can get another digital if then.
Rats.
And I was just learning to have fun with it.

I know it is not such a big deal really; but dang it all.
Why does this keep happening to us?

In the future, buy an extended warranty for your digital camera. (So they sell them in Israel?) Our experience has been that digital cameras are delicate. (One expired as its initial warranty did. The same week, I think. The other dropped and had its imaging system jarred and couldn't focus anymore.)
Our current one seems a bit sturdier; but I didn't take chances and got a warranty for it too. And I plan to renew the warranty.

David's advice is good. But there should be a less expensive one available until you can get a nicer one. These are the least expensive ones on the site where I got my beloved camera:

For $94.99 US: http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=KDC300

For $108.75 US: http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=KDC310

For $121 US: http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=OMFE100

For $130 US -- a Nikon!: http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=NKCP4600

For $134 US: http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=CNPSA410

Thank you both.
The camera we bought in the USA about 3 years ago...I was actually surprised it broke as it didn't fall from a great height...about five inches or so.

Thank you for the list of cameras; unfortunately even 100$ is too much at this point.

It really isn't the camera so much it is everything and the feeling that we can't ever get ahead.

I guess life could be worse, but I'm really praying we don't find out.
That was said with a bit of humor folks...don't worry.
