Meira Online did an excellent two part piece on Israel and Euthanasia. Part one here. Part two here. Go read.

It was great talking to you--sorry I had to cut it so short.

Actually Meira and I had been talking about the issue, she blogged about it and so I linked.
What is really disturbing is the non-Jewish reaction to the law. Click on technorati link in her blog. It is really upsetting the anti-Jewish comments on some people's blog.
Posted by: Rachel Ann at December 27, 2005 10:03 PMI really appreciated those links. A few weeks ago a Christian blogger had submitted a post on the subject on how terrible the law was, but understood that the post might be inflammatory. I found an Arutz-7 article on the subject and sent the A7 back and begged off including the post.
I sent links to Meira's posts back to the blogger yesterday and he/she was going to look them over. He/She seemed to appreciate the clarification. I guess I have to check it out and see if they retracted or reversed their remarks.
Posted by: David Gerstman at December 28, 2005 03:11 PMThanks David...Meira did a fantastic job of covering the subject. She also sent me some great info via the e-mails.
It is a heavy topic. LMK if you have a chance if the
Christian blogger retracted/reveresed their comments...
Rachel Anne Shalom ~
I have been making the slow rounds, myself, leaving comments at various blogs, trying to enlighten.
"'Euthanasia' in Israel - Part 3'" is now up, and anyone who wants the facts should read it. In Part 3, I share my direct exchange with the Dr. who chaired the committee that developed the law. People just have no excuse now to rely on poor journalism and misinformation that is otherwise being circulated through other blogs.
Also, so far, I have seen none of the offending Blogs retract or at least admit their error.
I have submitted Part 3 to "Pro-Life Blogs." If it gets on PL Blogs, that will be good to get word out.
