Thank you Pam!

Of Pamibe for all the help you have been giving me with my banner. I like, I like! So nu everyone, how do you think this place is developing? Suggestions? Criticisms?

Linda, do you like what we've done with the banner? Ro, thank you again for all hte work you did for me, and for your help. And all the other's who have given me advice and help in setting up my blog.

My family doesn't understand why I like blogging so much. I think they don't understand how wonderful long-distance friends can be, and how much someone whose voice one may never hear and whose face one may never see can become so important in one's life. Friendship does not depend on distance, but on concern, caring, and the willingness to be part of another person's life.

Thank you to all who read and to all who have helped me.

Well, I see things I could have done better on the banner... But that's always the case. ;)

In your stylesheet here:
---------------------------------------
#banner {
font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif;
color:#b4445c;
font-size:x-large;
font-weight:normal;
padding:15px;
height: 300px;
border-bottom: 1px normal #451746;
------------------------------------------
The css is telling your site to leave 300px of space free at the top, but since you're not using that banner, I'd comment that entire section out using
Or, just change the height to 5px! ;)

Very pretty, in a girlish kind of way - nothing wrong with that, in your case! I would recommend putting the pink around the sides and the white in the middle, to maximize contrast where you spend the most time reading, though.

David, I'm a little confused as to where you think the pink should be. Actually, the area where the blogroll etc. is, is not white but a very pale purple. I was thinking of surrounding the blogroll/recent comments etc. area in a very dark pink but afraid that would make it a bit too girly (that is now a very dark purple. Have I said I like purple? I'm not certain anyone could have guessed that.)

My monitor doesn't recognize certain colors. I knew about the blue but just learned about the pink.

To me (in IE6) this design looks alot like a generic MT design -- Completely devoid of personality. Yuk!

But, if it looks good to everyone else then fine.

Though, to me and my browser, your posts' headlines butt up against the previous post's "timeline" (date and time and posted by...). It gets a little claustrophobic in them there supposed white spaces.

What was wrong with the old design again...?

Me likey the banner, btw. :)

I hate to break this to you, but most colors come out differently in different monitors. If you want your blog to look the same to everyone, you have to limit your palette to colors that they all recognize. To me, your text area is pink and the borders are white.

The layout looks fine to me in Firefox (which I usually use) but in Explorer (where I just tried out your blog) the page goes off the right margin. It wasn't always that way. I know, because I figured out the fix to that very problem by - believe it or not - careful inspection of YOUR blog!

Okay, sohow do i get the borders right? It is odd becuse i didn't touch the borders, just the shading and colors.

Arggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I dind't know it could be so hard to get everything so nice!!!

I like your banner and I like the clean look of this site (even if it's not exactly how you've designed it - using IE) :-)
