My children cheerfully clean their room, without fighting or arguing or any dramatics, the first time I ask them to do so. I don't even have to ask. They do it on their own. Their rooms are never really messy.

My children never really fight.

No one ever says YUCK!!! when I serve dinner.

No five year old of mine has ever walked down the streets of the Yishuv shouting at the top of her lungs "WE CAN'T SPEND MONEY!!! WE ARE POOR! WE DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY!!!"

They always say please, thank you.

They always go to bed on time. They wake up smiling and happy. They are need no encouragment to get out of the house and off to school promptly.

They never forget to give me notes from the teacher. They never lose such notes. They always do their homework.

Nope. My kids are just perfect. And how are your chidren today?

My daughter just got grounded last week for not bringing home papers, as a result, she missed out on school pictures day and got the grounding. The room cleaning sounds exactly like her too, if I hear "is is clean yet" and know without looking it is not, just once more some times, I think I will scream! and last week when I told her she could not have something she wanted beacuse I just didn't have the money, in any form, she sounded just like your Monkey. So you aren't alone :) And a letter is on the way to you via the post :)

My daughter once did as she was told, the first time I told her. I nearly fell over with shock.
